6 Happy Thoughts #1

Tuesday, 30 August 2016
I have seen many posts around following the similar tag line that is the title to this post and I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. What I like about posts like this, is that it allows the reader to get a small little update on a few things that the blogger is feeling happy towards. There have been a though thoughts on my mind recently that makes me feel super happy and here are 6 of those thoughts.

01. I'm going to University
If you read one of my latest posts, you would have seen my 'Thoughts Before I Go To University' post and already know about this but yes, I'm heading off to uni this September. Even though I'm a bag of nerves I'm super excited to start a life up north. I can't wait to make new friends, join societies and sports clubs as well as starting my new course!

02. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
I received this beautiful book the day after it was released and I'm so happy and excited to have this book. I'm a big potterhead, so you can probably tell I'm rather ecstatic to have this book in my hands. I haven't read it yet but I'm planning on reading it soon and I bloomin' hope it's great.

03. Feeling more organised
I recently reorganised my room, including my draws and my wardrobe and it's put me in such a organised mood, I love it. I don't know why it's taken me so long to organise my room but I'm now definitely going to try and keep up with being a little more organised. I've also organised a 'washing' day in to my diary to help me be a little more organised when it comes to washing my clothes and so on, I really need to stop relying on my mum, especially when I'm moving away next month!

04. Feeling more motivated
Soon after reorganising my room, I also felt incredible more motivated, especially towards my blog which is fab because I recently neglected my blog for a bit. I'm also more motivated to do more things such as make bracelets to sell, read and ride my bike. Feeling motivated is great, I just don't feel like I waste the day anymore.

05. I have 3 weeks left at work
Due to moving up north for uni in September I gave in my notice at work. Even though I'm going to miss everyone at work, I am super excited to say goodbye to retail for a while as not only does it give me a little break from stacking boxes and dealing with grumpy customers, it also means I'll soon be moving away and that excites me.

06. Reunited with great friends
I recently arranged a BBQ round mine with all my college friends. I hadn't seen them since I left college back in June! We've all been super busy which is purely why I hadn't been able to see them but it was so lovely seeing them all again, really showed me that I have some great friends that I definitely want to keep in touch with when I move away.

I hope you enjoyed this little post, I really enjoyed writing and it's definitely a series I'll be incorporating on my blog from now on. Is there any happy thoughts that have been on your mind? I would love to know down below in the comments.

Essex International Jamboree 2016

Wednesday, 24 August 2016
From the 30th July to the 6th August I took part in the Essex International Jamboree. I'm sure a lot of you may be wondering what a Jamboree is? Well a Jamboree is a week long scouting and girl guiding event, where scouts and guides will camp for a week as well as taking part in some amazing activities such as climbing, slacklining, archery and kayaking.

As I'm no longer a scout, I go to these jamborees (they happen yearly at different locations) with my friends as an activity group - so we provide an activity for the scouts and guides to learn and enjoy. Our activity group is known as i.Slack and we instruct slacklining and we definitely have a lot of fun!

Even though we are instructing everyday, we do get to experience some of the other activities that the scouts and guides get to have a go at. For instance, one evening we took part in zorbing and a stunt jump, you'll see it in my video. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that I vlogged all week and so I have put together a weekly montage vlog of our week at the International Jamboree! So I hope you enjoy my new vlog and I do promise a Disney World vlog will be uploaded over the next few weeks (I promise).

I don't really know what else to say as I feel the vlog explains how our week at the jamboree went, like I said I hope you enjoy my vlog and this super short post. Is anyone else part of the scouting association? I would love to hear your thoughts on scouting in the comments below!

Thoughts Before I Go To University

Friday, 19 August 2016
So yesterday was results day and I'm sure there were a lot of individuals waiting for the dreaded 'something has changed on your UCAS profile' email and I do hope that you all got into the university you want to go to (those who are going to university anyway), as well as getting the exam results you were hoping for too.

Luckily I was one of those annoying students that already knew they had gotten in to university a couple of weeks ago due to studying a BTEC (but believe me I was still nervous when I got that UCAS email). I honestly still can't really believe that in only 5 weeks I'll be moving 3hrs away from home and over the last few days I have had MANY thoughts running through my head on the subject of moving away and going to university, so I thought it would be cool to share them with you!

01. It feels incredibly weird to say that I'm going to university (something I never thought was possible 4 years ago)
02. It also feels incredibly weird and somewhat nerve-racking to know that I'm going to be moving out and away from home
03. Will I fit in with everyone? (a thought that honestly scares me - what if no one likes me?)
04. Will I become homesick living far away from home?
05. I'm definitely going to miss my cat
06. And my rabbit (and chicken!!)
07. I can't wait to join different societies and sports clubs (something I'm very excited for!)
08. Living away from home will give me so much freedom (maybe too much?)
09. I hope I don't give myself food poisoning (better practice those catering skills before I go)
10. I can't wait to experience the university lifestyle
11. And night life! (paartaay!)
12. I can't believe how much stuff I need to get (I really should start shopping soon)
13. I'm looking forward to decorate my bedroom with cute pictures and decorations
14. Will I have enough money? (something I'm sure every student is worried about)
15. I only have 5 weeks to sort out everything!!

On the 25th of September I'll be moving from London to Chester and those are just a few thoughts I have on moving there. Overall, I honestly can't wait to go and experience the full university experience.

Is anyone else going to university this year? and what are the many thoughts that are going through your head, prior to going to university?

Cupcake & Angels On Bare Skin

Lush Impressions #3

One of my favourite things to do is to cleanse and treat my skin, so when I found out you can have a free consultation at Oxford Streets Lush I jumped at the opportunity. I ended up leaving with a Cupcake face mask and a sample of Angels On Bare Skin face cleanser.

MY THOUGHTS AND IMPRESSIONS

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask:

01. As this is a fresh face mask it needs to be kept in the fridge so when you apply it on to your skin its feels cool and smooth on your face, which I liked as it was really pleasant to apply
02. The main ingredient to this mask is mud and cocoa powder, both working together to draw out any dirt within your pores, providing you with a deep cleanse
03. When wearing the mask, as it was a mud based mask, it started to dry over my skin but I didn't find this uncomfortable like some other face masks
04. The cocoa powder within the mask also softens and moisturises your skin and the mask definitely left my face feeling super soft
05. You get about 3 applications within a tub (depending on how generous your layers are) and it lasts you 3 weeks, so it works out to a face mask a week which I like as it encourages you to use it as you don't want to waste it
06. It also smells incredible

Angels On Bare Skin:

01. Like the fresh face mask above, all ingredients within this cleanser has fresh ingredients but you do not need to keep this product in the fridge, meaning it lasts a lot longer than the face mask would
02. This face cleanser is great for oily skin as it helps illuminate the grease within your skin as well as absorbing any dirt that is left on your skin
03. This cleanser left my face feeling a bright and nourished
04. Another great factor to this cleanser is that it helps calm your skin by using calming ingredients such as lavender and rose oils, making the cleanser smell fab as well
05. Since using this cleanser I have seen a great difference in my skin, it feels cleaner and my spots have definitely died down or disappeared
06. This cleanser also acts as a subtle exfoliator as there is ground almonds within the paste acting as the exfoliator

I definitely will be repurchasing these products and if you are ever going to the Lush shop on Oxford Street I definitely recommend the free consultations as not many other Lush stores provide that service.
